2026 Matawan FRESH Farmers & Makers Market
Board of Health Requirements
Matawan Fresh is a lively outdoor market that brings the town together for great food, good finds, and a fun day out. You’ll find local farmers, bakers, makers, and food vendors selling everything from fresh produce and treats to handmade goods and small-batch favorites. It’s casual, walkable, family-friendly, and easy to pop through or hang out for a while. Come hungry, bring a friend, let the kids wander, and enjoy a market that feels more like a neighborhood block party than an errand.
Board of Health Instructions
For vendors selling food items, it's essential to comply with local board of health guidelines. These requirements cover food safety practices, proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure public safety and regulatory compliance. Please review these guidelines carefully before setting up your booth.
All food vendors MUST get approval from the Monmouth County Board of Health to sell at our markets.
If you are planning on signing up with us at ANY of our Matawan Markets, then just add a note stating this to the top of the right corner of the application. There is currently no fee for board of health permits in Matawan.
Even if you are an already approved food vendor for previous years, you still have to fill out these applications again for the new year.
Please note that you must submit these applications 7 days prior to the first market date you plan on selling at.
Here is what you’ll need to do in order to sell produce, food & baked goods at Matawan Fresh.-
